—daisy duke
i say goodbye to 2009 with rooney’s daisy duke. this year has been the year of, “i don’t know who you are, tom.” if only i could smack a hooker in the face for every time i heard that this year. why do people want to change me? you have the option of not being my friend any more!
favourite song of the year: rifle’s i could never lie. hands down. it’s simple, it’s sweet, it’s catchy. maybe timeless.
favourite album of the year: miniature tiger’s tell it to the volcano. when i first downloaded this album, i listened to it nonstop for a week. mini tigers have been an awesome, awesome group to me. they got me into a sold out show! the drummer gave me a back massage. it was pretty damn cool hanging out with them. rick: “where’d you hear about us from?” me: i…umm….downloaded your album when leah culver posted it….”
favourite concert of the year: company of thieves at the drunken unicorn. an energetic performance from a band who really knew how to play. the lead singer was so nice and personable, too. i’m craving another company of thieves concert.
2009 was a great year. my most fun year. i grew up a lot (or maybe i became immature and fratty, it’s hard for me to tell right now). i’ve waited for 2010 for five years, though. since 2004, i’ve lived in 2010: the year i graduate pharmacy school. when i don’t sign stuff for a while, i sometimes date it 2010 because it’s always on my mind. after this year, i have to make it on my own. SIGH.
goodbye 2009!
